This has been an exceptionally cold winter. So we have been inside an exceptionally long time. And because I have been inside so much I have had the time to notice every baseboard, vent, fan, drawer, line of grout, shower door tray, window, screen, closet (and on and on) that needs my attention. So I would really like to spend an entire weekend cleaning and making my house look perfect. So I could sit down with a giant glass of lemonade and marvel at my amazing work and pretend my house is always this clean. So I could invite my friends over and make them think this is “just the way we live.” And nothing like this…
But that is not going to happen. Because I am a mom to 5 young kids. That’s all I need to say.
Honestly, I really would like my house to be perfectly, thoroughly clean all at one time – just for me to enjoy. But who am I kidding, as soon as I clean one room and move to the next the first will look like this again.
Maybe the same is true for your home.
So I am going to lower the bar. I am going to clean some of those nooks and crannies one at a time – slowly. And I hope you will join me for 30 days of easy spring cleaning were we thoroughly clean one thing each day in 30 minutes or less. I hope that in the end we can sit back and marvel at our progress and enjoy our cleaner homes. Because this has to go, right?

Thank you for your comment! I’m new to this blogging thing and am really excited about it but I am learning as I go. If you want to follow my posts I have now put a link on my page for you to do that. I do hope this 30 days of small cleaning works because I hate looking at all of the grime in my house. I cleaned my light fixture yesterday and I felt really good about it. It’s the small things isn’t it!?
