Easy Spring Cleaning Challenge

This has been an exceptionally cold winter. So we have been inside an exceptionally long time. And because I have been inside so much I have had the time to notice every baseboard, vent, fan, drawer, line of grout, shower door tray, window, screen, closet (and on and on) that needs my attention. So I would really like to spend an entire weekend cleaning and making my house look perfect. So I could  sit down with a giant glass of lemonade and marvel at my amazing work and pretend my house is always this clean. So I could invite my friends over and make them think this is “just the way we live.” And nothing like this… DSC_0125

But that is not going to happen. Because I am a mom to 5 young kids. That’s all I need to say.

Honestly, I really would like my house to be perfectly, thoroughly clean all at one time – just for me to enjoy.  But who am I kidding, as soon as I clean one room and move to the next the first will look like this again.

Maybe the same is true for your home.

So I am going to lower the bar. I am going to clean some of those nooks and crannies one at a time – slowly.  And I hope you will join me for 30 days of easy spring cleaning were we thoroughly clean one thing each day in 30 minutes or less. I hope that in the end we can sit back and marvel at our progress and enjoy our cleaner homes. Because this has to go, right?

    • Thank you for your comment! I’m new to this blogging thing and am really excited about it but I am learning as I go. If you want to follow my posts I have now put a link on my page for you to do that. I do hope this 30 days of small cleaning works because I hate looking at all of the grime in my house. I cleaned my light fixture yesterday and I felt really good about it. It’s the small things isn’t it!?
