Challenge #23 – Shower Liner

DSC_0006

I don’t think much about my shower curtain liners really. I don’t have mold on mine. I don’t even see them very often.

But I read an article that said you should wash them periodically to KEEP mold from growing on them.

OK, maybe that would be a good idea. I wash other things periodically to keep them clean. So I decided to add this to theĀ challenge.

So we are washing the shower curtain liners, and shower curtains if you are feeling spunky today.

It was easy, except for taking it down and putting it back up, which is always a pain. But I washed the liners in cold water with detergent and then hung them to dry (in the shower) while I washed the shower curtains. I also hung the shower curtains to dry instead of putting them in the dryer to avoid shrinking them. I had washed one a long time ago and it shrunk so bad I had to replace it. So, avoid that by just letting it air-dry. They turned out fine.

If you are really particular you may want to iron them before you re-hang. I had to.

So it took a little more than 30 minutes, but it was broken up, so it didn’t seem so bad.
